Apple made their AppleTV+ promo a bit misleading by saying, "If you have an iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV, you already have the . Apple TV app", without the Catalina qualifier for Macs. Which also sounds like if you have a Mac that cannot install. Catalina, you can't get AppleTV+, unless Apple plans some. point update for older macOS support Apple TV — with the Apple TV app, Apple TV+, and Apple TV 4K — puts you in control of what you watch, where you watch, and how you watch.
